Venue Bio
Set in 83 acres of countryside with fine historical Victorian buildings, Cheadle Hulme School is an independent school with a long and proud history of innovation and philanthropy.
CHS was founded in 1855 as the Manchester Warehousemen and Clerks’ Orphan Schools to provide education and a ‘home’ for children of local workers whose deaths had left their families in need of support. It welcomed girls and boys, from all religious denominations – laying the foundations of the co-educational, inclusive, altruistic School that CHS is today.
The School has a variety of sporting facilities including an indoor heated swimming pool, floodlit Astro, 3G pitches, sports halls, dance studios, and indoor and outdoor cricket nets, which are regularly used by local community groups and sporting clubs outside of the School day.
Cheadle Hulme lies within easy reach of Manchester’s International Airport, major motorway links, and Manchester city centre, with access from neighbouring areas by foot, car, and public transport. Visitors to the holiday camps should arrive at the School Lane entrance (SK8 6EF) and meet in the Gym, which is accessible from the car park.
