The Cricket Academy has been developed to give children and teenagers the opportunity to develop their cricketing skills through innovative games, coaching and match play.
Every day features a variety of engaging technical (batting, bowling and fielding), gameplay and challenges.
All our sessions are tailored to the age of the participants and are delivered by ECB qualified coaches and staff with experience of working in childcare settings. We utilise coaching equipment that’s trusted by professional athletes, ensuring a top-notch learning experience for every camper.
WHO IS IT FOR?
The Cricket Academy is for all children, whether they are taking their first steps in to cricket, looking to hang out with friends during the holidays, or develop to the next level.
All of our camps encourage children and teenagers to be at their BEST demonstrating and developing their Bravery, Enthusiasm, Sportsmanship and Teamwork. At the end of every day on camp, our staff will recognise a child from their group for being at their BEST!
THE ACTIVATE GAMES
On camp, the young cricketers work in teams throughout their camp experience, earning points for the Activate Games through various challenges, during technical sessions, and by showcasing their BEST attitude during camp life.
The pinnacle of the Activate Games is the end-of-camp tournament, where campers have the opportunity to proudly display the skills they’ve learned, honed, or perfected during their time with us.
NEW FOR 2025 – R66T ACADEMY PARTNERSHIP
We’re thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership that will take our Cricket Academy (TCA) camps to the next level in 2025! Activate Camps has teamed up with the prestigious R66T Academy, founded by cricketing legend Joe Root, to add specialist challenges to our TCA camps and a specialist standalone batting experience day.
CHALLENGE JOE
Every attendee at our Cricket Academy camps will have the unique opportunity to participate in the Challenge Joe – R66T Academy Challenge.
This fun and engaging activity, designed by the R66T team will test batting skills, hand-eye coordination, and quick decision-making under pressure.
BATTING MASTERCLASS
The Cricket Academy has teamed up with The R66T Academy to deliver exciting 1-day specialist batting camps this summer!
The R66T Academy coaches will deliver a full day of specialist training supported by ECB qualified The Cricket Academy coaches.
The camp is for young cricketers aged 8-16 years old, looking to take their batting to the next level with expert coaching from The R66T Academy!
Dates available at select locations across the country.
Children a grouped within LOWER ORDER, MIDDLE ORDER and TOP ORDER to ensure that they are with others who are age and skill appropriate.
Groupings are flexible to allow children to move up (and down) to suit their ability. Our staff will conduct assessments on day one to make sure children are in the correct group and get the most out of their TCA experience, with regular reviews.
